Description: A tall and imposing figure, Nelson Rathbone is a proud and honorable man. With a single saber at his side, Lord Rathbone commands an impressive remnant of Nocturnian forces he brought with him after his exile and declaration as a criminal by the New Arcadian government (formerly Nocturne), as well as several shadowed connections to the rest of the world. Shrewd and arrogant, Lord Rathbone is a cunning tactician and leader worthy of ... at least some of the boasts he makes.
Occupation: Exiled Lord and Regent of Nocturne's Eastern Province, Captain of the Vangel battleship.
Association: Acquaintence of the Dimensional Warriors via his Nocturnian Regent position, as well as his personal ties to a few members of the organization. He is a known and trusted ally.
Background: The nephew of the deceased King Malcom of Nocturne, Nelson Rathbone was born nineteenth in line for the throne, but laid claim to the Eastern Province of the nation, which bordered the ever-present rival city-state of Hikaru City. After the revolution in Hikaru City and the subsequent war that began between Nocturne and Hikaru City, Lord Rathbone uncovered the details of a massive conspiracy between what used to be the two heads of the individual nations, both replaced by a single man, Melbu Frahma. After his discovery and the recovery of the Vangel battleship from the frozen wastes of the north, Lord Rathbone -- now a fugitive -- leaves Nocturne with a complement of the nation's best soldiers and equipment. He has since assisted greatly with the Dimensional Warriors' battle against Melbu Frahma and his fortress nation of New Arcadia, both on and off of the battlefield.
Assistance: Lord Rathbone sports a wide array of networked connections throughout Gaia and possibly beyond, and via that has access to unusual quantities of information and resources. As the Captain of the Vangel, he also possesses massive tools of warfare and is allied heavily with the Valuan Air Force of the Arcadian Sky Continents. Personally, Lord Rathbone is an unearthly swordsman, trained personally by Slayzer Restalia.
