Name: Secant (Real name: Tycho Argyros)
Race: Cyborg (Human)
Age: 1550 years
Height: 6' 1"
Weight: 600 lb
Appearance: At first glance, Secant would appear to be a slightly bulky, but sleek cyborg. His exterior armor is a black, shiny alloy covering most of his body, thinning to points at various parts of his body, especially the joints. However, further inspection would betray how old his make is; under this layer of armor can be seen another layer of an older, obsolete metal, and a material resembling kevlar. This pattern of technological demotion ends in an inner skeleton-like layer of bronze.
The armory he carries on his person has a similar style; a modern assault rifle shares a space on his back with a more compact, futuristic laser rifle. A grenade launcher can also be found on him, as well as, most curiously, a bow and quiver. Also on his back are a pair of wings, sporting small jets of the same make as his outer armor, with an interior of wax feathers. Finally, a human skull can be seen attached to his belt by a chain.

Favorite Food: No longer eats, used to enjoy figs
Likes: Humanity, studying, philosophy. He used to enjoy the thought of flight, but like many things, the mechanical thought encroaching his mind views it as a tool, nothing more.
Dislikes: Abuse of power, betrayal, distrust, being murdered
Favorite Color: It was blue. On a good day, he can almost appreciate it again.
Fears: Succumbing to his mechanical self, being used. Also, while not exactly a fear, his primary objective is to protect the skull on his belt, so he is likely to react negatively to any danger to it.


<<>Character Background<>>

History: Centuries ago lived a genius inventor, only known as Delta. Excelling at his trade and creating wonders far beyond the technology of his time, Delta soon caught the unwanted attention of thieves, jealous competitors, and even royalty. Fearing being attacked, robbed, or forced to work under someone else's command, Delta employed a guard-for-hire by the name of Tycho Argyros so that he may invent in peace. The years went on, and while Delta initially began to consider Tycho a friend, the more frequent attacks made Delta more and more paranoid. Tragically, this lead him into murdering his own guard. Upon realizing what he had done, he used his inventive mind to reconstruct Tycho's body piece by piece. After countless hours of work, Tycho rose again, half machine by the time Delta was done with him. He was unable to retain most of his memory though, only recalling that he was to protect his employer, that was now his creator.
Delta's state of mind began to deteriorate, his only company no longer completely human. He had long since adbandoned society, secluding himself to a dwelling of his own design; a labyrinth that was as much prison as it was a home. It was so complex that only his cyborg companion, now known as Secant, could navigate it..Or so Delta thought. In reality, his shattered mind had only created a complex, but ultimately single path. In time, his enemies found him. Secant tried to fight them off, but failed, and was knocked out.
Many, many years later, he awakened. His first instinct was to look for Delta, and found his remains laying next to him. All logic screamed that he had failed, but he still felt the drive to continue his duties. Ever the servant, Secant took his master's skull and fled the labyrinth, which was deemed by him unsafe. He hid himself away elsewhere, steadfast in his responsibility. He drifted into a sort of sleep mode, waking only to deal with intruders. This continued until the modern age, when he was discovered by people far more advanced than him. He was, of course, swiftly defeated. After capturing him, the invaders deduced that being an automaton, he was subservient to orders. They subjugated him, using him for their own deeds until they were no more, after which Secant would escape and return to his slumber.
