Sector 4: P4A

An entirely inland zone of central Osea, this region is dominated by the Basset Space Center, a sprawling facility housing some of Osea's strategic weapons arsenal and its most advanced rocketry systems. Its rolling hills, wide plains, and fortified infrastructure makes it an easy region to travel through, but the increase in military traffic and exercises closes down entire sectors of unpopulated zones at times.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
1-10: Super Cell Thunderstorm; a collision of fronts forms a line of great storms that make flying nearly impossible. Raise fuel costs by 50% passing through this region, suffer 1 AP damage each round inside.
11-30: Storm; All rockets have a 20% chance of missing due to the storm, even if they would otherwise hit the target (guided missiles like AAM's work fine). Your travel costs are raised by 10% due to the hindering weather.
31-50: Low-Pressure Ridge; occasional wind shears make maneuvering difficult. Every round, roll Vehicle Operation, DC 80, to stay clear of powerful headwinds. If failed, maneuverability rating decreased by 20%. Fuel costs raised by 10% passing through this region.
51-100: Clear Skies; no modifier.

Wargames I

The Osean and ISAF militaries are performing simulated combat environments in this region. Assist in the "war games," and make sure you only hit the designated targets. The cameras will be watching.

Reputation Points: +5 for successfully completing the simulation.

------------------------------------

Composition

5x "Leasathian A27 Mobile SAM"
3x "Leasathian I62 Rocket Artillery"
1x "Leasathian Defensive Fortification"

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy the "Leasathian Defensive Fortification."
SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy the "Leasathian I62 Rocket Artillery."

This simulation requires the destruction of a defensive fortification blocking the advance of an Osean armored column. It is defended by multiple SAM trucks.

At the end of each round, each "Leasathian A27 Mobile SAM" will fire a "surface-to-air missile" at a random party member. It rolls 1d100+8 and "deals" 6 AP damage.

Military commanders overseeing the operation will be keeping tally of "damage." Any "destroyed" aircraft must temporarily withdraw or the engagement will end.

---------------------------------------------

Name: "Leasathian A27 Mobile SAM"
Armor Points: 6
Defense Roll: 1d100

Name: "Leasathian I62 Rocket Artillery"
Armor Points: 8
Defense Roll: 1d100

Name: "Leasathian Defensive Fortification"
Armor Points: 30
Defense Roll: N/A; attacks must meet DC 60 to strike.

Wargames II

The Osean and ISAF militaries are performing combat simulations in this region. Participate in one of the engagements. Show them how dogfighting is done.

Reputation Points: +5 if the simulation is completed.
Note: No monetary reward will be tallied for this engagement.

----------------------------------

Composition

"Leasathian combat air patrol fighters"

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: "Destroy" all "Leasathian combat air patrol fighters."

This is a dumbfire exercise. No munitions are to be discharged. Military commanders will be watching.

When a party member rolls high enough to strike a target, it is treated as a "lock on," and the party member must call out the target and weapon for tallies to be kept.

-------------------------------------------

For fighter complement, roll 1d4+4 and fill from the top down.

Air Show

The public relations branch of the Osean military is putting on an air show for civilians in this region. Join the demonstration. The cameras will be rolling.

Reputation Points: Total the pilots' "points" at the end of the competition and divide by three.

-------------------------------------------

Composition

N/A

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Gain as high a score as possible.

This civilian air show intends to demonstrate a pilot's capabilities in the air. It includes an obstacle course and a freeform demonstration in a series of "rounds."

Each round, a maneuver is given; the pilot must pass an increasing DC each round to "pass." Each "pass" is 1 point. The pilot with the highest points at the end wins.

Note that a vehicle's maneuverability rating figures into these checks.

Round 1: Carranzan Eight - Vehicle Operation, DC 60
Round 2: Hammerhead Stall-Turn - Vehicle Operation, DC 80
Round 3: Critical-Angle Inverted Spin - Vehicle Operation, DC 100
Round 4: Pugachev's Cobra - Vehicle Operation: DC 140
Round 5: Standing Eight - Vehicle Operation: DC 180
Round 6: Barrel Roll - Vehicle Operation, DC 220

After a pilot either fails a check or finishes all six challenges, the pilot is granted a "freeform" performance. It makes three Vehicle Operation checks and totals them; they are granted +1 point per 150 rolled.

The engagement ends once all pilots have finished their freeform performances.
