Defensive Systems:

Name Artificial Intelligence
System Slots: 0
Cost:

A vehicle AI can control routine functions, and provides features such as autopilot, automatic defenses, auto repair, automatic drone control, and so on. For more information on this, see the AI section of the vehicle sheet.

Name Chaff Launcher
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: None

Chaff launchers deploy thousands of metal confetti vehicle around the ship for 1d5 rounds, making many types of sensors and lock on weapons ineffective. When attempting to scan a vehicle or use missile weapons, roll a 1d100, if the roll is under 30, scanning fails, or the missile explodes harmlessly in the chaff.

Name
Auto Repair
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Artificial Intelligence

A vehicle with an AI can choose to spend a round repairing damaged systems. If the ships AI passes a repair check (DC 30), the vehicle recovers 1 AP.

Name Improved Auto Repair
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Artificial Intelligence, Auto Repair

A vehicle with an AI can choose to spend a round repairing damaged systems. If the ships AI passes a repair check (DC 30), the vehicle recovers 5 AP.

Name Advanced Auto Repair
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Artificial Intelligence, Improved Auto Repair

A vehicle with an AI can choose to spend a round repairing damaged systems. If the ships AI passes a repair check (DC 30), the vehicle recovers 10 AP.

Name Decoy Drone
System Slots: 1
Cost:

A decoy drone serves as a decoy for sensors, producing identical readings to the ship. Decoy drones negate the bonuses given by a ships targeting system when attacking, but are destroyed upon any direct hit. Can be automated by an AI, otherwise requires a crew member to deploy and operate.

Name Magnetic Field
System Slots: 1
Cost:

A cheap, yet primitive defense system that adds an additional _______ AP to a vehicle.

Name Point Defense System
System Slots: 1 (per turret)
Cost:
Requirement:

A defense grid of turrets placed around the vehicle designed to shoot down incoming attack craft and missiles. The P.D.S. adds +5 to defense against ships and missiles, and gets a free attack on any ship close to it every round at -20. If the ship has an AI, these guns can be unmanned and will roll according to the AI's sheet.

Name Point Defense System
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Ship must be a Medium chassis or bigger

A defense (grid) of turrets placed around the vehicle designed to shoot down incoming vehicles and missiles. The P.D.S. adds +5 to defense against ships and missiles, and gets a free attack on any ship close to it every round at -20. If the ship has an AI, these guns can be unmanned and go off of the AI's weapons proficiency skill. Point defenses are treated as two chassis types lower than the vehicle in question.

Type VIII Sensors
Type IX Sensors

Name: D-Phase Sensor Modifications
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Must have Type VI sensors or higher

D-Phase sensors are designed to pick up distortions and abnormal variations in 5d space. These sensors are capable of tracking a rift to its origin point, and can act as a spatial sonar into null space. The only issue is that this sensor concentrates on Dimensional phase, and installing it on a sensor array makes it useless for standard scanning.

Name: Subspace Sensors
System Slots: 1
Cost:
Requirement: Must have Type 6 sensors or higher

Subspace sensors are designed to map out different phases of one dimension, and is a necessity for warp travel. They are also useful for analyzing spatial anomalies, as often times they are linked to subspace disturbances. Unfortunately however, this requires a dedicated sensor, much like the D-Phase scanner.
