North Pacific Search and Rescue Ops

If one or more of Dragon Squadon's pilots has been shot down in the North Pacific and Osean forces did not reach them in time, the pilot(s) will be captured and processed as prisoners of war by the Leasathian government.

The Osean Air Force's Special Tasks Group (STG) will conduct intelligence operations of various kinds to isolate the POW(s) to a single sector in the North Pacific, and will forward that information to Dragon Squadron.

This will add "Search and Rescue" to that sector's Engagement Table, replacing item number 6, and is treated like any other engagement.

Go and get 'em.

POSSIBILITY TABLE
1 - Search & Rescue (Convoy) [P5B)
2 - Search & Rescue (Helicopter) (P5C)
3 - Search & Rescue (Forward Operating Base) (R8B)
4 - Search & Rescue (Command Ship) (P7C)

Search & Rescue (Convoy) (P5B)

The STG has located prisoners of war in this sector. They're being held onboard a transport ship with an escort, en route to a fleet in the Pacific. Interdict the convoy and rescue our men and women.

Reputation Points: +2 if the POWs are rescued.

---------------------------------------------

Composition

1x Leasathian Prisoner Transport Ship
2x Leasathian LCC-09 Light Cruiser
Leasathian combat air patrol fighters

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy all Leasathian craft except the Prisoner Transport Ship.

The Prisoner Transport Ship and its escorts are en route to a carrier group in the Pacific. Dragon Squadron is cleared to pursue until the mission is complete.

At the end of each round, the LCC-09 Light Cruisers will each launch a single surface-to-air missile at an enemy target. They roll 1d100+4 and deal 4 AP damage.

Once the Leasathian LCC-09 Light Cruisers and all Leasathian fighters in the region have been destroyed, Osean STG pararescuers will enter the area and seize the Prisoner Transport Ship, completing the engagement.

-----------------------------------------------

For fighter complement, roll 1d3+3 and fill from the top-down.

Search & Rescue (Helicopter) (P5C)

Air Force operators have isolated a helicopter flight they suspect is carrying Osean and ISAF prisoners of war. Eliminate the escort fighters and clear the way for our Pararescuers to reach them.

Reputation Points: +2 if the POWs are rescued.

---------------------------------------------

Composition

1x Leasathian HH-60 Pavehawk transport helicopter
Leasathian combait air patrol fighters

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Splash all Leasathian fighters.

The Leasathian HH-60 Pavehawk transport helicopter is en route to a battle group stationed in this sector. Dragon Squadron has clearance to pursue until the mission's complete.

The Leasathian HH-60 Pavehawk transport helicopter will not participate in the engagement.

Once all enemy fighters have been destroyed, the HH-60 will deploy a zodiac lifeboat with prisoners of war inside; Osean STG operators will enter the airspace and Pararescuers will retrieve them, completing the engagement.

-------------------------------------------

For fighter complement, roll 1d4+4 and fill from the top-down.

Search & Rescue (Forward Operating Base) (R8B)

Air Force operators and high-altitude reconnaissance flights report finding Osean and ISAF prisoners of war at a forward operating base inside southern Carranza. Soften the target and clear the way for STG operators to clear the position and rescue our people.

Reputation Points: +2 if prisoners of war are successfully rescued.

Composition

3x Leasathian Defensive Fortification
3x Leasathian S-300 Mobile SAM platforms
Leasathian combat air patrol fighters

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES: Destroy all Leasathian units.

At the end of each round, the Leasathian S-300 Mobile SAM platforms will each launch a single surface-to-air missile at a random party member. They roll 1d100+12 and deal 6 AP damage.

Once all Leasathian units have been destroyed, Osean STG operators and pararescuers will deploy into the forward operating base and rescue the prisoners of war, completing the engagement.

Search & Rescue (Command Ship) (P7C)

ISAF operators and high-altitude reconnaissance flights report Osean and ISAF prisoners of war are held on a command ship inside a small battle group. This will be a tough nut to crack, but our people are worth it.

Reputation Points: +2 of prisoners of war are successfully rescued; +1 if Destroyers & Light Cruisers are destroyed.

---------------------------------------

Composition

3x Leasathian LSV-82 Destroyers
2x Leasathian LCC-09 Light Cruisers
1x Leasathian LSB-12 Command Cruiser

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Disable the LSB-12 Command Cruiser
SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy all Leasathian LSV-82 Destroyers & LCC-09 Light Cruisers

Dragon Squadron has clearance to stay on-station as long as necessary to complete the engagement.

At the end of each round, the LSV-82 Destroyers and LCC-09 Light Cruisers will each launch a single surface-to-air missile at an enemy target. The LSV-82 Destroyers roll 1d100+22 and deal 6 AP damage; the LCC-09 Light Cruisers roll 1d100+14 and deal 4 AP damage.

The LSB-12 Command Cruiser will not participate in the engagement, but is enhancing the targeting systems for the other ships in its group.

The LSB-12 Command Cruiser must be disabled (reduced below 0 AP, but not destroyed). Once the LSB-12 Command Cruiser is disabled, Osean STG operators and pararescuers will enter the zone to seize the disabled ship, then scuttle it, successfully ending the engagement.
