Grenade Packs (NeXT)

Grenades are offensive items that are generally thrown, lobbed, or projected somehow at a target. These items do not require a roll to use and generally affect a group within a moderately sized area. Grenades require flat-foot (Reaction-based) dodges to avoid, and are exceedingly dangerous when used against a target in cover, forcing the target to either suffer the grenade or expose themselves to a prepared enemy.

Modern grenades are generally sold in bulk whether it's crates, containers, bandoliers, or microfabricators designed specifically for the purpose of producing them. Grenade Packs occupy 3 inventory slots and contain 5 uses per mission of that particular grenade type. Additional Grenade Packs can be purchased and equipped to add more uses. If a character uses an Advanced Skill that affects grenade damage (Grenadier, Bomber), the appropriate number of uses are taken as well (Grenadier uses 2 charges, Bomber uses 3).

If a target is behind any form of cover when a type of Grenade is used and the target attempts to dodge out of the way, the target is immediately forced from behind that cover, and if the target wants to resume that cover, must do so on its next action.

Description: The Mark 87 Tactical Munitions Mine Template (TMMT) is an extremely modular device that a user can "plug-and-play" an explosive into in order to create a fully-functional proximity mine with both vibrational and atmospheric detectors. This device allows a user to create Mines by combining a Grenade (from the list below) with the Mine Template to create a mine of that type (Fragmentation Mine, EMP Mine, Fault Mine, etc.), which is tripped when in proximity to the Mine. Description: An innovative piece of hardware that fits on standard- and non-standard carrying gear (belts, ALICE vests, armor hardpoints), into which various standard-size tactical munitions are loaded like a weapon's magazine or a quiver.
