Enhancement Items

Sometimes you just need a little something extra...and through the miracle of modern medicine, drugs have been developed to help get the most out of your body in a pinch. Developed by the most reputable of medical labs, these compounds will help you push beyond your limits!

Enhancement Items can be found in many areas of society; they are broadly legal in most galactic laws, but more potent, dangerous, and illegal versions of these mostly-pharmaceutical items can be found in shadier places of the galaxy. Legal uses include medicinal treatments, athletic enhancement, soldier equipment (colloquially called "Stims"), and recreational use. To ensure safety of product, make sure to purchase from only licensed vendors!

These are One-Use Items that are consumed upon use; they may be given or used during combat as a Standard Action, and each occupy 1 Inventory Slot when carried. Be warned that these potent items, if misused or abused, may have long-term effects.

When a character uses an Enhancement Item, roll 1d100. If you roll a 5 or lower, the item will have the opposite effect.

These are crafted via Artisan: Medicine.

Side effects may include heartburn, itchy/watery eyes, fleas, indigestion, excessive halitosis, uneven tire wear, diarrhea, water-weight gain, lower back pain, flu, receding hairlines, low sperm count, incessant coughing, anxiety, tooth decay, lazy eye, unibrow, psoriasis, AIDS, loss of bladder control, hemhorroids, the shanks, M.S., E.D., V.D., itchy/chafing clothing, scoliosis, hammertoe, warped floors, feline leukemia, low resale value on your home, poor gas milage, sexual dysfunction, and in rare cases, death.
