Appearance: The AGCS-001 stands at an imposing nine feet tall, perhaps seven feet around at its legs. Four spider-like legs carry the main torso of the unit, thick and sturdy, well armored. The torso, arms, and head are somewhat humanoid in appearance, but only in a vague sense. It has two arms, each powerfully built but remarkably flexible, able to dextrously grasp as needed. A massive chest cavity, storing many of its essential functions, with its head rising above what could be construed as a neck. Two optical sensors colored a dull red stare out impassively, auditory sensors there as well, one simple voicebox apparatus, and even an olfactory sensor. It has menacing gun-barrels built into its arms.
Eye Color: Red.
Hair Color: None.
Notable Features: Aside from the four legs, massive mechanical construct, and red optical sensors? Not much.

Favorite Food: Doesn't eat, but a good power grid always improves it's mood.
Likes: Not being destroyed. Defeating and/or killing his enemies, acquiring upgrades to make him better at what he does.
Dislikes: Scientists lacking in morals, being controlled by another against his will.
Favorite Color: On him, something drab and easy to miss. On enemies, something garish and easy to spot.
Fears: Being destroyed, or brought back under the control of his creators.

-= Background =-

History: (Star Wars Universe) Many private industries in the galaxy have attempted to fashion their own personal armies. Some focused on stealth, some on superior technology, and yet others made hordes of weaker, simpler designs, overwhelming their enemies by sheer number. Others, however, focused their attentions on creating a very few elite enforcers, each single one capable of dispensing hell to an astonishing number of enemies. Little else can be said except to call these 'War Droids'.

The 'AGCS' model, or Air and Ground Combat Specialist, started simply enough. Its creators wanted a tough combat droid, one that could take punishment and dish out its own in ways most of the 'cheaper' models couldn't. More than that, they wanted to give it versatility. Allow it to engage its foes from the ground or the air, to withstand orbital drops, and more importantly, they created a prototype craft to carry the unit, a special cockpit allowing it to take the controls.

All in all, production of the test model went excellently. They incorporated a rather outdated mode of weaponry, projectile or 'slug' assault rifles. Still, these weapons would accomplish what they wanted. A bullet might not be as stylish as a blaster, but it could still kill a man if properly aimed. Several bullets could take down a force-field as well as several blaster shots. Speaking of, a shield-generator module was built into the core of the unit, allowing it to create a defensive barrier. Useful, indeed...weak and short-lived as that barrier might be in a full fledged firefight, it made the prototype that much more survivable.

Anyways, the droid was completed on schedule. Its full complement of weapons included twin assault rifles(slug based) built into its arms, a retractable sword-blade in each arm, the shield generator unit, infra-red sensors, and a powerful drive unit capable of air or limited space flight. (The rigors of long-distance space travel were beyond it, of course...which is why they built the customized spacecraft for it. It -was-, however, capable of achieving orbit to dock with its ship, if necessary.) The body and equipment complete, all that was left was assigning a droid intelligence. Faced with a plethora of options to choose from, they ultimately went with a somewhat controversial module..a highly advanced hunter-killer personality. Unfortunately, the droid it originally came from had been a flop, as the model had a tendancy towards eccentricity. They would play 'games' with their targets, if given the opportunity. There was even the odd rumor that they might go rogue, if improperly managed...but it remained one of the most adaptible intelligences they could harness for a warmachine. Implanting numerous safeguards for its <and their> safety, they finalized it and began testing its capabilities. It proved to be what they had hoped for, albeit not as elite a marksman as they wanted, it had the capacity to improve, with time. All of its subsystems worked flawlessly, all that remained was a field test.

The records from the company are somewhat spotty on this account, but it seems the AGCS unit broke free of its restraints, having prepared in the intervening months. No one had accounted for the possibility of a droid hacking its own programming, or that of its ship...when the time came for it to leave its ship and make an orbital drop on its assigned target, it instead severed communication links with its masters, and destroyed the homing beacons placed on it and the ship, and promptly entered hyperspace. Needless to say, a bounty was placed on it for a while, but the company has experienced some serious financial difficulties since then. The bounty is no longer considered valid by the Guild, meaning the AGCS is, essentially, home free on that field. However, living on its own posed something of a problem. On the Rim, there were plenty of havens he might find...smuggler's dens and pirate nests where they wouldn't ask about his origins, simply valuing his 'talents' and providing him a nice power grid to supply himself with at night. In associating with these miscreants, the AGCS has come to call itself <and be known as..> "Anvil". An archaic device, but the inspiration apparently came from one of the pirates witnessing the AGCS dropping from orbit onto a group of rival smugglers that were holding them at gunpoint.

Notable Accomplishments: Escaped his controllers.
Training (If any): Quite a bit, some programmed, some practiced, some 'taught'.

Innate(Feat, Shield Generator Device): Similiar to (but stronger than) the shields used by Droidekas from the Star Wars films, this is a regenerative shield powered indirectly by Anvil's own power grid. If overloaded or expended, it should be able to recover and be used in another fight, unless the module itself is destroyed or damaged beyond repair. Note: This shield, on a large war-droid, should be capable of sustaining a fair share of damage, at least as far as physical/blaster/laser goes. Would prefer to say it can take more laser/blaster abuse than physical abuse, given he was made to operate in the SW universe.)

VEHICLE: Personalized Spaceship (blueprints/specs only. Ship does NOT exist! Yet.)
This vehicle, as I envision it, is something like a more combat-oriented Lambda shuttle, with one major change. The entire 'cockpit' has been removed and refitted to be a sort of...-slot-, where Anvil imbeds himself, <accessible either from within the ship or by sliding in from outside the ship> and from there, he simply controls the ship by direct connection. It -is- protected reasonably, though the act of 'imbedding' himself takes a moment or two, and leaves the cockpit-slot's defenses offline until he's in.

As to the ship itself: Again, picture a lambda shuttle, but without the big trademark wings. Good engines, respectable top sub-light speed. Armor is also reasonable, and shielding is more potent than a civilian vessel has a right to be. Armament is turret-oriented, with (2 or 4, your choice) laser cannons mounted. Half in the front, half in the back. Field-of-fire allows them to 'broadside' a target if the vessel flies alongside it. (Firing with both/all cannons.) Life support is included, more for the benefit of passengers than anything else, but living conditions are fairly spartan. It is NOT a luxury liner...the point of the craft is to allow for 'rescue' missions, as well as live-bounty missions. Cargo space is somewhat limited, as most of what space exists is designed for people, not crates.
