Favorite Food: Pastries. Specifically, muffins.
Likes: Peace and quiet, reading, the comforts of civilized life, ill-gotten gains or not.
Dislikes: Being incarcerated(Unless it includes many of the 'Likes' category..), being bored, having nothing to read or do, being injured.
Favorite Color: White and Black, depending on his mood.
Fears: Being killed, frankly. Beyond that, losing his eyesight or damaging his hands/fingers would be especially debilitating.

-= Background =-

History: Alexander Archer was born on a remote world known as Lanaya (Lah-Nay-Ah). Lanaya would be considered a backwater mudball by most, as it had little technology above the medieval. Magic held more sway than science, in almost every corner of the known world. The world was primarily arboreal, with great forests that made Earth's 'Redwood Forests' look...smallish. Much of the civilization was built in conjunction with these gargantuan trees. Sometimes at their base, other times in their branches, and even within them, if the tree was dead. The overall civilization was somewhat peaceful, at least among the humans. Wars infrequently broke out with the goblin-like creatures that lived at the borders of 'civilized' lands. The creatures, to everyone's knowledge, are simply evil little monsters that steal babies and generally wreak havoc and evil. In practice, they occasionally raid human settlements for food, trinkets, and other things..and if cornered, fight viciously. The humans counter-raid and sometimes, it escalates to the point of a goblin 'army' waging war on a larger human city. When this happens, the humans invariably marshal their forces, and invariably win the overall campaign, though they often take heavy losses in the process, as the goblins outnumber them.

The Archer family had served with distinction in one of the long-standing kingdoms that dotted the political landscape. Each Archer man had served in the King's Army, regardless of their specific place and function within it. All lived up to their namesake, showing skill with the bow. The Archers were also distinctive...every man and woman within their ranks was an albino. If someone married into the family, their progeny carried this trait onwards, as well. Rumor had it that it was either a curse or a mark of their blessing, that each of them would be so skilled with the bow. One popular legend had it that the ancestors of the Archer family had been simple hunters, and saved the life of a fallen angel, in the deep forests..and that in return, the angel blessed the family, and the blessing continues to this day. Alexander had every sign of skill with the bow as a child, and his family was sure he would join the ranks of the King's Army when he came of age.

For his part, Alexander showed little interest in becoming a soldier. His mind was far too keen, he thought, to be dulled working as a lackluster killer, firing potshots at wild boars, giant tree spiders, and goblin raiders. He enjoyed the comforts that a fine life provided...not the day to day labor of a warcamp, or barracks. He had other skills too, which he wasn't as keen on showing his family. Rather than take up the sword, he'd taken up the knife..and had learned to sneak about as well as any thief. He was also knowledgeable in many things...the ancient history of his world, legends of others that existed beyond it, (Though being off the beaten path, Lanaya had had next to no off-world contact in many generations.)

He studied in secret, buying books on his pocket allowance and studying them every opportunity he had. He learned much of the ancient ways, even a little about the workings of magic, though he had no skill in it himself, knowing -how- it worked was vitally important. There were dangerous places on his world, places of power where artifacts could be found...whether they still had power or not, they were the stuff of legend and would fetch a pretty penny. The money itself wasn't the draw for Alexander, he wasn't miserly, and power itself wasn't his goal. It was what money could -get- him. A comfortable lifestyle, books, a better education, respect...all of those things he craved. When his coming of age came, he quietly packed his bags and left, leaving a note to explain to his family what he intended to do. He went to the city with his books and gear...

Unfortunately, life was not as simple as he'd hoped it would be. The living he had hoped to make was impossible at the time, and he wound up living by thieving, as much as it saddened him, it was what he had to do to survive, short of returning to his family, which he was -quite- determined not to do. His skills as a thief improved, and in time he saved up enough lucre to get out and attempt to track down the rumored 'havens' of magical artifacts. He even found some, bypassing their traps and guardians with his honed intellect and book learning. He found objects that made things far easier for him...and even underwent magical 'imbuements' in shrines located in some of the deeper temples, bestowing the 'Gifts of the Gods' upon him. He became capable of flight, and of turning invisible...magical things that he could hardly believe, but they worked. He used these powers to further his ever-advancing career as a thief, alternating between 'jobs' and then exploring ruins on the outskirts of civilization.

His reputation had become something well known...at least as an explorer. Few, very few knew the connection Alexander Archer had with the mysterious night-time thief plaguing the cities. He was very careful, and with his powers, never successfully caught. Most recently, however, he's had the honor of being -invited- to an actual expedition, official and licensed, to explore the ruins beneath the capital of his realm's primary tree. Deep within the gnarled roots, a great ring of stone had been uncovered, buried for countless years by the ever-growing tree...strange writings and devices were found with it, the use of which was entirely unknown. What could the purpose of this ring be? Only time would tell. (Translation: His world just uncovered a Stargate. They have magical artifacts a-plenty on their world, some of which might be potent enough to be of use, though he's never found them himself. Maybe this can be worked in somehow? Oh, and the artifacts might not even all BE magical...it could be old tech from 'before' their culture became what it is today. All up to you.)

Notable Accomplishments: Being part of the Archer family, a successful sneakthief, and a noted archaeologist/historian. Has been subject to ancient magical 'Imbuements' that granted him the supernatural(unclear if magical or really old tech..the temples have both) abilities of flight and invisibility.
Training (If any): Mostly self-taught, with the exception of his archery skills, which were taught to him by his father and older brothers.
