Throwing Weapons

Rocks, knives, shuriken, tomahawks, needles, spikes, cards, javelins, shot... throwing weapons come in all shapes and sizes. While each wll require different intrinsic styles to throw them properly, the main objective stays the same -- hurt something from a distance with your throwing arm. While some pitchers in major league baseball may find this to be a good pastime or a vent for rage, it was invented on the battlefield when the first barbarians picked up stones and threw them at each other. In some ways, it's a more base, cruel form of combat than even the club.

These Advanced Skills will represent the most general abilities that people accustomed to hurling objects will grow and develop. These may seem rather plain and sparse, but like most skills, the more special ones will have to be written as Abilities.

Effect: Allows for the character to throw two weapons at the same time with both hands. Roll 1d2 to determine hits that connect.

Triple Strike
Cost: 120 SP
Skill Level Required: 6, 'Dual Strike' Advanced Skill
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: Allows for an attack with three strikes. Roll a 1d3 for number of hits.

Rapid Strike
Cost: 205 SP
Skill Level Required: 8, 'Dual Strike,' 'Triple Strike' Advanced Skills
Untrained: No.

Effect: Allows for an attack with 1d4 strikes

Flash Strike
Cost: 350 SP
Skill Level Required: 10, 'Dual Strike,' 'Triple Strike,' 'Rapid Strike' Advanced Skills

Effect: Allows for an attack with 1d5 strikes.

Effect: Allows for a character to throw a wave of projectiles at a group of up to 2 enemies.

Improved Spread Toss

Type: Action
Effect: Allows for a character to throw more knives at one time at multiple enemies, granting the ability to strike up to 3 targets close together.

Advanced Spread Toss
Cost: 325 SP
Skill Level Requirement: 9
Untrained: No.

Effect: Allows for a character to throw an enormous spread of weapons in an arc at a wave of 5 enemies.

CATCH SKILLS

Catch!
Cost: 90 SP
Skill Level Requirement: 5
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: Allows for a character with this level of proficiency to actually catch weapons that are thrown at them, such as knives, tomahawks, or otherwise. This is counted as a 'block' replacement due to the small weapons' inability to block other weapons due to their nature.

Catch and Release
Cost: 205 SP
Skill Level Requirement: 8, 'Catch' Advanced Skill
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: Allows for a character to catch projectiles thrown at them as before, but now they are able to instantly return them back in a 'counterattack' fashion. This returns the opponent's weapon back at them.
