Cryokinesis

One of the more rare schools of psionic mastery is Cryokinesis. The inverse of Pyrokinesis, Cryo revolves around the ability to draw energy from a source to lower its temperature, rather than placing energy into something to increase its temperature. This gives it its own unique set of powers which are less combat oriented than its more aggressive counterpart. Cryokinesis also tends to be less obvious, not carrying the negative stigma the other power has.

Attack Name: Chilly Ray
Description: The power of ice -- or more specifically, the ability to pull heat away from objects around you. While not as strong as its fiery counterpart, it's capable of just as many things. While pyrokinesis starts its base from the heated fury of the heart, cryokinesis comes from a clear head and quiet fury.

- Ice Shield
Cost: 10 SP

Type: Action
Effect: This creates a barrier of ice either in the form of a shield or around the body. Adding +500 Natural Armor soak for 1d2 Rounds. When fire attacks are used bonus reduced by 50% for its duration.
This ability cannot be 'reused' until the end of its current duration.

- Rapid Adjustment
Cost: 30 SP
Required Skill Level: 3

Type: Action
Effect: Rapidly adjust the temperature from frozen to thawed (or vice versa) of a small area/object. This can have the effect of cracking a material and rendering it less useful than normal. Environment friendly, but not battle friendly.

- Cryo-Regeneration
Cost: 60 SP
Required Skill Level: 4
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: You are capable of taking a cold surface (such as snow) and drawing further energy from it, further cooling it and regenerating (base psionic damage) HP per round.

- Greater Ice Barrier
Cost: 90 SP
Required Skill Level: 5
Untrained: No.

Effect: An improved ice barrier, this allows the ice shield to be used without concentrating, this increases the bonus of the ice shield to +1000 for 1d3 Rounds. Again, if heat is involved, the barriers soak value is dropped by 50% for its duration.

- Improved Adjustment
Cost: 120 SP
Required Skill Level: 6

Type: Action
Effect: This allows the rapid adjustment feat to work on larger items up to the size of cars and small vehicles, and can be used to shatter larger items. Not battle friendly.

- Deep Freeze
Cost: 160 SP
Required Skill Level: 7
Untrained: No.

Effect: Allows the immediete freezing of something, dropping it to sub freezing temperatures. The target may make a dodge attempt versus the psionic skill, or be frozen solid (having the "frozen" status effect).
Perform a contact based attack while invoking this in battle if your attack connects roll d100. If the result is 80 or above inflict Acute: [Physical attacks deal triple damage, unequip armor] on an opponent for 1d3 rounds.

- Master Ice Barrier
Cost: 300 SP
Required Skill Level: 8
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: Allows the user to create a shield for themselves increasing the bonus to +2500 for 1d5. Furthermore, fire attacks no longer damage the barrier but do reduce turn duration by half.

- Frozen
Cost: 350 SP
Required Skill Level: 9
Untrained: No.
Type: Action
Effect: This acts like deep freeze, only it is performed over 3 rounds, each round the person gets a roll to attempt to avoid. If after 3 rounds, the effect is still in place, the person is considered frozen solid to a degree that only heat will free them. A person will eventually die if left like this.

- Cold Snap
Cost: 400 SP
Required Skill Level: 10

Type: Bonus
Effect: An area-of-effect cryokinesis attack that has the ability to instantly freeze an entire Area in three-dimensional space, including water molecules in the air, solid. Inflicts Chronic "Freeze" status to all targets (including allies) in an area; stops projectiles passing through the area, and can even freeze some magic spells in place. This ability is declared on the user's turn, is rolled for at the time, then each action that is taken until the user's next turn must be rolled against the Cold Snap user's roll to avoid being frozen in place when the effect takes place. Very little is immune to this.
