--(DW 1.0: The War Begins)--

Enter the Dimensional Warriors

Dimensional War formally began when PC characters were deposited on the world of Rygar, centuries after nature had taken over it and the population had regressed to primative societies. The resulting clash of Dimensions had thrown several groups together on the same planet, and all of whom wanted to control the situation

Namely, Star Fox, the Galactic Empire, Eggman, and the Bonnes, had all been thrown onto this world. The Dimensional Warriors at the time were simply thrust together into this world, and united to survive. They had all quickly discovered that they had similar stories; a sudden purple rift, then this

Quickly captured by the Galactic Empire aboard the Super Star Destroyer Invante, they quickly freed themselves and made friends with the organization known as Star Fox.

Now, on the other side of the universe, time had skipped slightly for Xanatos. Now aware of the growing situation they had created, Xanatos under the advisement of his Department of Defense chief, Admiral Dennis Stromberg, began amassing a space fleet with the hope of restoring order to the galaxy

By the time the events at Rygar had taken place, the USA had established a space fleet using its connections through the Stargate, the different dimensions, and several rifts which had developed technology there

With a new space fortress known as the Daemon's Gate, and a powerful flagship developed by Cyberbiotics known as the Air Fortress, the Xanatos Empire mobilized to seize control of artifacts known as the Zohar Emulators, which they believed would give them a further edge in securing peace.

Stromberg however paid close attention to the Dimensional Warriors, for fear that his plans might be offset if they became allies of the president. Instead, he made them out as terrorists to the president, terrorists who must be squashed.

While the DW were onboard the Great Fox, Daemon arrived with new ally Eggman, in an attempt to squash the fledgeling resistance. The Dimensional Warriors saw him as a villain, and he saw them as the enemy of peace. When Eggman was vanquished, he summoned Id using the interloper to disable the Great Fox, stranding them on Rygar

The Great Fox's core was destroyed, and forced itself into a landing on the planets surface. With no power core, the DW set off on their first joint mission, to find allies - and a new source of power for the Great Fox.

Meanwhile, Eggman had made the foolish mistake of trying to ally with the Bonnes, who promptly stole a hangar full of his mechanical gear and ran off with it. Eggman gave chase, but the Bonne's superior Gesselschaft enabled them to elude them for the moment

The two crossed paths at a nearby village. The Bonnes had deployed their Hyena mech in an attempt to intimidate the locals and gather information, but the DW stepped in and defeated Hyena. With the two sides at a momentary standstill, the Bonne's explained themselves as in the same situation the Dimensional Warriors were. In an unlikely turn, an alliance was crafted between pirates and heroes

No sooner was the alliance crafted but did Eggman approach wanting revenge in his Wing Fortress. The Bonnes offered the use of the Gesselschaft airship in exchange for helping fend off an attack from Eggman

During the exchange of fire, an enemy of Eggman rifted into the airship and disabled it from within before leaping aboard the Gesselschaft (Sonic the Hedgehog). After discourse, Sonic revealed the chaos emeralds, and Tron indicated that she may be able to repair the Great Fox's core with the emerald, if it was big enough. Sonic realized that if Eggman and himself were here, it was possible that the Floating Island with the Master Emerald was as well, and the group set off there

The Chaos Emerald

Sure enough, a sensor sweep indicated that it was in a region to their east. The ship departed, but was soon confronted by the massive might of the Xanatos Empire flagship, the Air Fortress

The group witnessed the Air Fortress making a move on a buried Zohar Emulator, but instead focused on the Master Emerald, setting the Gesselschaft down on the floating island so they could return to the Great Fox, repower it, and escape the planet

Once at the Island, they were confronted by Glyde Loath, who had been hired by the Xanatos Empire to recover the Emerald first. A battle ensued, but the DW proved victorious. Returning to the Great Fox, they repaired the ship and were just about to depart...

Until Stromberg realized they posed a risk, and rifted the Dimensional Warriors off of the world and into another environment

Aliens in an Alien World

Now on the alien world of Nigelle, the DW were quickly arrested by the Nigellian G-Cruisers for the crime of being alien. The high council sentenced them to reconditioning and loaded them aboard trams destined for the reconditioning center - a form of brainwashing that would make them compatible with Nigellian society

The Dimensional Warriors broke free of the tram and made their way underground, where they met a resistance movement who felt the dictatorial government no longer represented the wills of the people. United by the Dimensional Warrior's story, they revolted and struck back against the Government under the lead of Ernest Thossian, putting the cities into chaos.

The Dimensional Warriors ventured across the warring cities to the reconditioning center, where they were again reunited with the Bonnes, but faced with a new foe - Albedo Piasora

Albedo and the Great Amy Rescue

Albedo was on Nigelle to obtain one thing - an Antimatter sword he titled Pain

The Bonnes proceeded to again board the Gesselschaft but Stromberg was growing more concerned over their activities and dropped them directly into the middle of a space conflict

From Nigelle, the Dimensional Warriors found themselves in orbit of Corneria, home of the Lylat Alliance, where the Xanatos Empire and the Cornerians were locked in combat.

Worse, they were in a craft which had little to no ability to move in space. Now joined by KOS-MOS and Shion, they concocted a plan to use KOS-MOS to cover the ship while the rudimentary propulsion moved the Gesselschaft out of the line of fire.

The plan worked until the superior X-302 fighters approached the Gesselschaft and began attacking. All looked lost until Star Fox remerged to save the day, picking off the fighters and providing cover for the Gesselschaft via the Great Fox

Now back aboard the Great Fox, the Gesselschaft was towed to Corneria's capital city, which had been absolutely decimated by an air raid from orbit. Sonic embarked on a side mission to Eggmans orbiting Death Egg to cease the bombardment and rescue his captured Amy..and no offense Metal, but this was one of the greatest wtf moments in DW history

Amy was.. ejected.. in an oven... from the control room of the Death Egg.. into the waiting Air Fortress. Before it could escape however, the Dimensional Warriors decided to use a Cornerian raiding craft to slip onboard the flagship and rescue her

There, they confronted Daemon and his fearsome NID guard, but Amy turned the tide of battle when she summoned a weapon out of thin air and literally went to town on everything she could find anime style.

Daemon retreated with his staff while Agent Smith remained behind to clean up the mess. It was a hard battle, but the Dimensional Warriors took victory over Agent Smith. When they attempted to take control of the aircraft however.. they discovered they knew nothing about flying a capital ship

Elsa's Great Mission... For Cash

In the midst of party members fighting for the controls, the Air Fortress plunged into the atmosphere, splashing down in the ocean upside down and flooding. The group escaped, and narrowly evaded being caught by Ridley in a space pirate salvage operation. The Gesselschaft, now repaired, picked them up from the sinking husk of the Air Fortress and brought them back to the mainland, where they intended to find space transportation to Earth to take the war to Xanatos

What they found, was the willing crew of the Elsa Von Brabant, parked in the Corneria port during the attack. Willing to make money anyway

Matthews agreed to ferry the group past the blockade which had surrounded Earth, in exchange for payment to be recieved later.

Now in London, England, Daniel Carrington revealed that they had serious concerns about Xanatos's intentions and unilateral action, but couldn't act without the risk of a war. Instead they enlisted the DW to infiltrate the headquarters of the Xanatos Empire, the island of manhatten retrofitted into a gigantic fortress centered around the Eyrie Pyramid, a superstructure which housed one of the Interloper Crystals that gave him the ability to manipulate dimensions

Megaman Juno and The Great Eggman Bitch Slap Fight

The group broke into Fortress Manhatten via the sewer system, and used one of the support strut lifts to infiltrate the tower itself. Now inside, they again confronted Daemon; but were distracted by the extremely powerful Megaman Juno. The Elysium system had been asked to support Daemon by Jason Evermore, recognizing him as a cetra, Juno was placed at Daemon's command.

Juno proceeded to engge the DW, but was defeated when a severl tone bulk of control monitors were dropped on him. The group followed Xanatos to the parpets of the tower, where the Interloper Crystal was positioned. With Xanatos cornered behind only Smith, they figured they had won and this was about to end

Suddenly, Albedo emerged from behind them and walked forward as Smith drew his gun on both sides. Confused, Xanatos stepped backwards as Albedo stepped around the safety railing and used the antimatter sword to break the crystal, freeing Ashtarath

Smith revealed he had grown sick of humanity and had decided it was in his best interest to aid Ashtarath in wiping them out. In a massive display of rage and power, Ashtarath created a wide ranging explosion that baked the Earth, closing in on Manhatten. Daemon fled via a spacecraft sent to pick him up as the group watched the world burn. At the last moment, they were teleported away from the disaster.. by.. Elvis.

No, not the singer, the gray man Maian who had been asked by Daniel Carrington to help draw you out. Elvis revealed that Earth had been reduced to a desert, and that Xanatos's forces were remobilizing on Mobius with Eggman. With Sonic in your party, the group headed to Mobius in order to stop Xanatos from regaining his strength

Now at a wartorn Mobius, where Eggman had used the resources granted to him by the Xanatos Empire to occupy Station Square. The group proceeded to repel the invasion of Station Square, then defeated Eggman in the street with his Egg Walker.

Eggman, furious, attempted to flee in the Egg Carrier, but Sonic chased after him. The result was 45 minutes of missed slaps back and forth while Kefka laughed

The group chased after him in a transport, and boarded the Egg Carrier while Daemon was aboard. Making their way inside, they fought a roboticized Tails and Amy (The joke of Boob Bombs originates here), but failed to capture Daemon and Eggman, who retreated back to Eggmans Final Egg base in the Mystic Jungle

The group pursued him there and breached the facility, chasing him deep into the superstructure of Eggman's massive base, and fighting US forces along the way. Eggman betrayed Daemon however and attempted to use the chaos emeralds to summon a being which would be used to trump Xanatos's control over him. With the US now out of the way, the group confronted Eggman in the bases control room. The stage was set for a battle of epic proportions

Eggman proceeded to feed the chaos emeralds to chaos and attempted to flee. The battle went to the catwalks above the control room as chaos raged through the facility, Egg Viper slowly rising between the frame of the facility.

They were left however, with the now massive being Perfect Chaos, enraged by the fighting around him. Flooding the Final Egg base, they were forced to fight from the rooftops, dodging him to recover the chaos emeralds. With emeralds in hand, Sonic transformed into Super Sonic to beat the ever living shit out of it.

A New Ship.. The Tempest

Meanwhile, Tails had been busy at work with the Egg Carrier. By the time the fight was over, Tails had successfully retrofitted Eggmans ship into the blue and gold paint frame of the Cyclone aircraft, and had revamped it for DW use. Asked to name the craft, he chose to continue his naming conventions and dubbed it 'The Tempest'

When asked how he had managed to take the craft, Tails revealed that he had help, and pointed out Robotnik's nephew Snively, who had grown discontented with treatment over the years. With new allies, the group took the space equipped Tempest into deep space to pursue Xanatos across the stars

The Dimensional Warriors headed back towards the Lylat System, gaining new ally Sephiroth along the way. Before they could reach the far side of the system however, they were forced to stop by a ship pretending to be a sort of police force. Without identification, the group was to be arrested, starting with Shion and KOS-MOS. The DW discovered them to belong to the shady and villainous U-TIC organization, but were vastly outnumbered and out gunned

Hold on Fangirls, there's TWO Kukai cuties

Sending a distress call, their prayers were answered in the form of the Durandal, who's crew had heard the distress call and responded. The Tempest was docked aboard the Durandal while the group travelled to the Kukai Foundation to discuss details with the owners

Once they arrived, they discovered that their savior was the Gaignums Kukai and Kukai Junior, the CEO's of the company. They provided the DW with U.m.N. ID pads and registered them as federation citizens, acknowledging that they weren't the terrorists they had been marked as

Before you could mount a rescue operation however, the foundation came under attack. Apes with machine guns were attacking the city. You made your way out into the foundation, only to find the head of the Apes was a psychic prodigy known as Specter. Doing battle, you were able to best the ape, who revealed he had been duped by the Xanatos Empire.

He agreed to join you in your noble quest. Meanwhile, Lykos Richards, a group member, had decided to betray the party by setting explosives off in several locations

After some misadventures onboard the station, Junior revealed that Shion and KOS-MOS were likely taken to Pieroma, the asteroid base for the U-TIC organization. The group took the Durandal and headed out of the Lylat System into deep space, where a confrontation was about to occur

At the same time as the DW offensive, Xanatos had ordered an attack against the League of Evil that Smith and Albedo were a part of, which seemed to be based out of Pieroma. A division of the Xanatos Empire ships had been dispatched, and were engaging U-TIC ships at the asteroid field when the DW arrived. Boarding the station amidst the chaos, they made its way through the labyrinthine facility to rescue Shion and KOS-MOS, narrowly evading the deadly wrath of Margulis.

Upon returning out into the Melee, a massive ship descended through the air. Known as the Vangel, the group was unsure which side it belonged to, only that its captain was the then unknown Slayzer Restalia. The Vangel fired its main cannon into the field of battle, decimating much of both fleets and forcing Xanatos into a retreat. The group returned to the Durandal and made their way back to the foundation

Thamasa's Story of Geddon, Ashtarath and Ivantos

The group disembarked from the Durandal, but were pulled aside by a magical being known as Thamasa. Thamasa indicated to the Dimensional Warriors the background story of Geddon, Ashtarath, and Ivantos. He also indicated that Xanatos' devices, which used the crystals that Ivantos was sealed into, risked unleashing a greater evil unto the universe, and for that reason, the Xanatos Empire must fall

Using his seeming omnipotence, he revealed the location of some of Xanatos' key structures, and also the location of the last surviving member of the Order of Light, Capek, was still in a temple on Rygar. The group set out to seek more information from Capek, heading back to Rygar and into the village that the Bonnes were attacking. Making their way into the temple, they stumbled across an old man who told them they would have to undergo trials to obtain information

The group was teleported to a gauntlet of traps, but survived and returned to the man, who revealed himself as Capek. Though he hid his wisdom, he did bestow upon many members the gift of magic, and told them they had to venture to the Cornerian moon of Lunar in order to seek the power to fight their foes

On route to Corneria, the group encountered a derelict research station simply titled B.S.L. emitting a distress call. Deciding to investigate, they found the station overrun by xenomorphs, metroids, and other evil creatures

The group left the station, but discovered they left Tails behind to fend for himself. Returning to find him, they also encountered the Enigmatic and Noble villain Ghaleon

A New Dragonmaster and Shinra's New Alliance

Venturing on to Lunar, the party endevored to meet with the White Dragon, as suggested by party member Lance. The White Dragon indicated that Lance must travel to distant worlds to find the separated dragons, but he would become a legendary knight known on Lunar as a Dragonmaster.

Before they left the world however, they noted a large activity coming from the extreme east of the world. It seemed Shinra was constructing a massive airship of sorts, a mako powered vessal as Neo Midgar.

The vessal took off before the Dimensional Warriors could intercept it, and it headed to another location on the planet to obtain a massive stone fortress Lance recognized as the Fortress of Althena from the ocean depths there. It was revealed that Neo Midgar seemed to dock perfectly with this device.. like it was made to

Sephiroth suggested heading to Corneria to see what Shinra was up to (at this time, he had still thought of them as allies), and the party discovered the original Midgar had been relocated to Corneria by dimensional rifts

Which indeed was how Shinra had launched to Corneria's moon so readily.

Upon landing in midgar, the group headed to Shinra tower to speak with the president, but instead found him to be on the side of U-TIC. After a short (Read: throwing him off of the roof) fight with the President, the Xanatos Empire descended to take control of Midgar

Now tasked with stopping Daemon from obtaining the incredibly powerful Sister Ray Cannon, the group battled through Shinra Tower before confronting Daemon at the controls. Although they were successful in forcing his retreat, Daemon revealed his powerful new suit of armor; a powered exoskeleton known as the DI-001 Interlink suit, with the interloper at his left hand and a dimensional weapon at its right

On the verge of leaving the world again, the group noticed that near Midgar's coast, Shinra' had dredged up the Air Fortress and had successfully transformed it into a working space carrier again. The Dimensional Warriors took it.

Now with an entire Space Carrier at your command, things were looking up. Even though Xanatos had an improved model, you now had interlopers and your own forces to operate with. The Dimensional Warriors were moving up in the world and making a name for themselves

Using the interlopers, Lance quickly retrieved the blue, white, and red dragons, but discovered the last was on the sworn enemy of the Lylat Systems homeworld, Venom, and had been captured by Doctor Andross, its cruel dictator

The group sped across Lylat in their new ship to save the Black Dragon, and mounted a coordinated assault on Area Six and a Venomian stronghold which was holding the dragon. Unfortunately, although they obtained what they needed, the black dragon died on site

Brain Bosses and Xanatos' True Nature

Doctor Andross, furious and.. at this point insane that his facility had been compromised by the DW and his hated enemy Star Fox, revealed his true form (that of a giant brain) and flew into space with the intent of destroying Lylats sun. The group gave chase and killed Andross with the help of the Saru-1 space station, run by no other than Specter and the Ape Empire

The group headed back to Lunar with its newfound powers and found Xanatos laying siege to it from orbit with the Air Fortress II. Rather than attempt to duel with it, a member named Azurhan decided 'Lets just ram the fucker'

Although the AF II didn't suffer any serious damage, you did force it to land for repairs. The Air Fortress I however was crippled and beyond repair, forcing you to abandon it to the tempest. Landing on the deck of the landed carrier, you had your first engagement with general NID officers in a battle for the ship. After a long and grueling battle, you successfully took Daemon's prize away from him. Once again Daemon was forced into retreat.. but Shion followed him into his rift.

Shion, trapped with the 'enemy', had a long discussion about his motives and discovered that Xanatos.. might not be as evil as he's been made to be. Many of the atrocities weren't being done by his orders. Before Shion could learn more, she was rifted back to the group

Now determined to get to the bottom of this, you started to head to the Xanatos Empire's base of operations, Daemon's Gate. Before you even got there, a brilliant light filled the sky as Daemon fired a beam towards the Cornerian Fleet from another sector of space entirely

Daemon had gotten his hands on the legendary Arc Triumph

With forces surrendering to the mighty Xanatos Empire left, right and center, the Dimensional Warriors suddenly stood alone against the superior firepower of the Daemon's Gate. At high speed, they crashed the hangar and landed inside the station, a daring raid against all odds to stop Daemon from taking over the universe, opposed by marines, NID, Red Queen and a host of defenses

Infiltrating the command module in the center of the station, you confronted Daemon. After a short battle, Daemon found out the controls of the Arc Triumph had been routed away from him, and that it was now targetting civillian planets. The entire group rushed to the controls of the weapon, but found Stromberg manipulating Daemon from behind the scenes

Daemon attempted to stop Stromberg, but was shot in the heart and collapsed. The group ran to his aid while Stromberg retreated, but were unable to save him. Daemon pleaded with them that he be remembered for what he tried to do, and not for the atrocities he had caused

Now confronted with their true opponent, they dashed back to the control room where Stromberg was preparing to launch a terrifying weapon. A heavily modified Metal Gear Rex known as Z.E.U.S., equipped with long range dimensional weapons and shields, and capable of space flight

In a climactic showdown between good and evil, the Dimensional Warriors confronted and killed Stromberg. The day was theirs!

Until a warning alarm came from the interloper deck

'Jason' Unleashes Astarath

Making their way through the station, they came to Daemon's Gates massive interloper, where Daemon's mostly unseen science advisor, Jason Evermore, was overloading the crystal. Laughing, he told them that by unleashing Ashtarath, he would be attempting to discover the ultimate lifeform. Shattering the interloper Crystal, Ivantos' power was unleashed and absorbed by Ashtarath, who used it to devour the station in Shadow Warriors. The group had no choice but to retreat off of the station it and its inhabitants were engulfed in evil

Infact, it wasn't. A virus in the simulation had manifested itself as a demon known as Nihilanth, who took the form of Evermore in order to manipulate itself into power. This sadistic demon became a thorn in the sides of the Dimensional Warriors from this point on

The group fled, but sought a place to enact repairs to their battered ship. In the system, they stumbled across a planetoid orbited by a lonely space station. Docking with it, they were greeted by a robotic butler who promptly escorted them through the station. The quirky man brought them through the station known as Omnitopia before bringing them into a lab

Before they could speak to any other inhabitants however, they were jettisoned from an escape pod into the planet below. No sooner did they land did they encounter a T-Rex who decided to chase them.

A Dreamworld of Dinosaurs and Giant Spiders

After a confrontation with raptors and the T-Rex, you made your way to a prehistoric village where the villagers indicated that a spider demon was kidnapping women, including their tribe leader 'Fire Eyes'

The group followed the tracks of the spider demon, discovering it to be the workings of an even more repulsive force, a Victorian scientist by the name of Arliss Loveless, and his 80 foot tarantula mech. After schooling the party, he kidnapped the female members of the group before heading onwards

The female members broke free (after he named them Erotica and Gigantica respectively) and helped the group board the robotic spider. Loveless instead took Fire Eyes back to his city. You decided to march the spider right up to the door and kicked his wheel chair driving ass

Discovering that Loveless had in fact also had an escape pod that he -repaired- and made flyable, you took it back to the village where Fire Eyes, aka Elizabeth, explained her story

As it turned out, the world was named Evermore after its creator (Doctor Ruffleberg)'s best pupil. It was an experiment in physics, where a machine actually manifested a world of the imagination.

Problem is, when they arrived, the robotic butler (an AI known as Carltron) had trapped most of the initial envoy on the planets surface, save for Professor Ruffleberg who was likely being forced to maintain its systems

Taking the escape pod back to the station, the group engaged in a struggle to recover the systems back from Carltron. Finally, when all but the computer core had been freed, they infiltrated it

Despite his minor nature in the plot, Carltron was an INCREDIBLY hard boss fight, spanning several days as he used the virtual machine to summon minions to his defense. Finally, the group defeated him and deactivated his program before taking Ruffleberg and company off of the station, seeking their repairs elsewhere

Agent Smith's Game

Before they could find the repairs however.. they were contacted by Agent Smith. He had a game for them.

By use of an interloper. Agent Smith had removed the core of a star. In seven days, it would explode, followed by an eternal ice age for the world of Nigelle. His intention was to test the Dimensional Warriors to see how capable they were.

The Dimensional Warriors rushed to Nigelle in order to try to salvage the world. The council, now lead by Ernest Thossian, were distrustful of the help of the outsiders, but were able to verify the suns data with their own information. The planets population was mass evacuated using Nigellian transport technology and the Stargate, and their population was moved to Rygar.

As a final fuck you to Agent Smith, the group used the Air Fortress' interloper to teleport a portion of the sun into Daemon's gate as it exploded, causing massive structural damage directly to Evermore's lab

Unfortunately, after their newfound victory with the interloper, the group became overly confident with its use, attempting to randomly achieve things. When one Klair Trondheim attempted to violate space time however, the resulting rift pulled Eggman into the future from when he was killed. Eggman fled the ship and returned to Rygar with the group in hot pursuit

Metal, who was playing Eggman at the time, wanted to construct a base for eggman on Rygar. Between the time Eggman arrived and the time the group arrived, he wanted to build a base in the shape of Eggman's face, with each tooth being a hundred laser turrets, each portion of hair being a shield generator, and several teeth reassigned as hangars

What Eggman -did- end up doing though, was using his technology in an attempt to reactivate the downed Galactic Empire Super Star Destroyer Invante on Rygar. The group confronted him as he activated it, and in a final showdown with Eggman with a lightsaber, he was defeated for good, and the Invante fell to its final resting place

While on Rygar however, the group discovered a hangar for the Air Fortress III. As it turned out, Vector Industries had taken an interest in the assets of the empire and had headed back to Corneria with its newfound technology. Realizing that no good could come of Xanatos Empire technology in the hands of someone, the group pursued the Air Fortress III back to Corneria after undergoing some moderate repairs at the Nigellian's new city on Rygar

Bonnes Refound

Upon arrival at Corneria, the group was outgunned by the Air Fortress III and forced to take refuge at a small port town of Balamb while the AF III kept them out of the skies. While searching for clues in Balamb, the group noticed servbots walking off with crates of supplies onto a submarine. Sneaking onboard the sub, the group was taken to the underwater lair of the Bonnes, where it turned out they were taking refuge from Vector ships searching for them

The Dimensional Warriors and Bonnes again joined forces to escape the planet, doing damage to the Air Fortress III in the process. A bounty was placed on the heads of the Dimensional Warriors, who had no choice but to return to somewhere where they would not be followed

Sector Zero - Daemon's Gate

Returning to the gate, the group found it overrun with demons and beasts. Quickly however, they encountered new friends Jameson and Aiko, Jameson appearing human, and Aiko an apparent Nigellian Artificial Information Keeping Unit with a wealth of knowledge but little experience

Making their way deep into the bowels of the station, they recruited allies from the marines who were trying to survive amidst the ruins, and even the Red Queen herself.

When they attempted to download the Red Queen from the control room however, they were greeted by the dark form of Ashtarath, who they had not seen since his departure from Eyrie Pyramid. Ashtarath was impervious to attack with Ivantos's new power, but the group managed a small victory by tricking the demon into harming itself.

In rage, Ashtarath tore the station apart section by section, forcing the survivors to retreat off of the ship as it was rendered to pieces.

Again, the group was summoned by Thamasa, who made the stakes clear of Ashtarath's plan to envelope the universe in darkness. Thamasa asked if there were any amongst the group who were not willing to undertake the challenge of fighting him

Amongst those, only one Dimensional Warrior opted to retreat. Frog, aka Glenn, decided he was no longer willing to fight, and returned to his home in the woods of 600 A.D. unaware of what had transpired.

League of Evil

The remaining however, decided it was time to bring the fight to Ashtarath and Earth. The machinations of Ashtarath had constructed a massive fortress out of Proto Merkabah, Merkava, the Fortress of Althena, and Neo Midgar known as Seraphim Merkava. This structure was providing a shield around Earth which would need to be penetrated, and was guarded by the League of Evil formed of Ghaleon, Albedo, Margulis and several others

After approaching the Durandal and meeting up with a Jedi, the group went to Junior to find out how to stop Albedo, knowing the two had a history. Junior suggested that destroying all of Albedo's cells at the same time might be sufficient to destroy him permenantly, and agreed to accompany the party in the durandal to Seraphim Merkava

Now with N.I.D., Marines, Air Force, Corneria and The Kukai Foundation behind them, the showdown between good and evil was about to begin.

The Dimensional Warriors boarded the Seraphim Merkava through an access port in the midst of the attack and made their way through the facility, stopping to defeat Ghaleon in the process and to disable its ability to draw energy to fuel the other systems. Quickly moving through the neo midgar docking components, they breached Proto Merkabah's core, which was taking the energy drawn from the Fortress to use towards the shield around Earth and to feed Ashtarath

In the core, Shion and Junior faced off against Albedo. By using a chemical which inhibited his regeneration, and using Shions MWS System at full capacity, they were able to destroy Albedo's cells and in theory, put an end to the being himself. Finally, destroying the core of Seraphim Merkava, the station was destroyed. The path was clear to Earth. Sensors indicated Ashtaraths presence was likely at Area 51, but a secondary shield was being generated from the Eyrie pyramid.

Enter the Matrix

The Dimensional Warriors made their way down to the barren surface below and trekked into New York. Inside the city, they found that machines had repurposed the city into a giant battery to fuel the shield. Much like in the Matrix, sky scrapers of people were converted into fuel cells to power the Pyramid.

Making their way to the top level of the tower where the shield was being generated with one of the NID agents, the revelation was made that Smith, and all of the NID generic 'Agents', were simply programs broadcast by a massive holographic emitter based in the Eyrie Pyramid, using the interloper for projection

The only way to defeat Smith however, was to defeat his program in his world. The group was broadcast into the Matrix to fight Agent Smith, who had become the god of machines. The situation looked grim (because in the Matrix, dodge was determined by the then ignored int stat, not the massively dumped into Dex stat)

With the parties capabilities neutralized, it appeared as though Smith had won the day. Without intelligence stats, the group was entirely unable to act in the Matrix; save for a few with moderate ones. The group's only hope... was also its weakest and youngest member.

The battle was hard fought, but Aiko found strength within and vanquished Smith inside of the Matrix, obliterating his program and removing him from the system. Without his guidance, the machine empire shut down and transferred to the NID's next Agent in command, Agent Johnson

Searching for Astarath's Castle

With the shield down, the group trekked to Area 51 for its confrontation with Ashtarath

Area 51 however, now corrupted by Ashtarath, was stuck in fractured reality between dimensions. A maze in extraplanar space, the party found themselves at its construction in one room, before the accident in another room, and in another section in the adjacent room

Eventually they found their way through to the Chronomaster core - and through the brach to Ashtaraths plane of existance - Ashtaraths castle

Ashtarath's Castle was a dark citadel established in what seemed to be a pit in hell. Molten rock licked at the base of the structure across a bridge of bone. Making their way up the castle tower, they fought Shadow Warriors and even a Darkside like being which served as their king. Finally they came face to face with the demon lord himself

The battle was fierce, the group pulling out all of the stops to end the fight once and for all. Ashtaraths power was immense, but through goodwill and hope, the group prevailed and vanquished the evil permenantly. As they did, Ashtarath transformed into a silver staff which sat calmly on an altar...

... right up until it was claimed by Thamasa

It was then that Thamasa revealed his true nature; not a benevolent spirit, but in fact the prime evil Ivantos himself. Now reunited with his staff and full power, Ivantos told the story of how Ashtarath had grown more powerful than he could control, and the power he had invested in Ashtarath could not be recovered until it was destroyed. Ivantos had broken free of his prison long ago, but his power remained sealed.

Now reunited with his full power, Ivantos intended to return to the origin of the lifestream (Geddon) and reduce the universe to a world of eternal pain. Challenging him to follow if they dared, he gave them a vague hint about how they could follow him. 'The road home still exists through pointers, follow me if you dare

A New Goal: The Beacons

Unsure of how to proceed, the group headed to Capek for information. Capek informed them that there was still time to stop Ivantos, but that they would have to return to Corneria to find the first beacon tower, one of two buildings which would reveal the gate to Geddon

On the way to Corneria however, the group was shocked when Jameson seemingly became an evil demon and attacked the group, wrecking havoc and killing several officers before laying waste to the hangar of their ship. It was then they learned that Jameson had a dark side, a demon known as Vrentric. The group proceeded to Corneria, now concerned about whether their crewmembers demons would come back to haunt them

Upon arriving at Corneria, the group was surprised to find an entire tower had formed in the middle of the ocean. This tower, a building of cetra design, was the site where once again, the Bonnes and the Dimensional Warriors would work together. This time however, they were joined by the newly arrived Fei Fong Wong, who helped save the Bonnes life from cetran defense drones (in turn being offered status as an honorary Bonne)

Making their way up the tower and fighting more Cetran technology, the group was able to activate the first beacon. A massive stream of energy shot across space, somewhere along which the gate to Geddon rested.

The group returned to Capek quickly, knowing time was of the essence. Unfortunately, returning to Rygar, they found that Ivantos had grown bored and decided to torment the Nigellians. They watched as horrified, an entire army engaged him in combat, and an entire army fell to his vastly superior magic and abilities.

Their meeting with Capek did not go as planned however. Capek, now weary from his days, granted the party a vision of what Geddon was like in its prime, and what Ashtarath and Ivantos had reduced their society to. His body now frail from the events he had witnessed, he could no longer delay the inevitable. Using the last of his strength, Capek revealed the second beacon tower directly beyond his temple before succumbing to his age.

After activating the second tower through a similar ordeal, the stage was set for a showdown in deep space between scores of summoned demons and the races which believed ancient treasure rested at the end of the cetran rainbow

As the Air Fortress II would be incapable of surviving the journey through the gate, the party petitioned the Nigellians for a superior vessal, and were granted their expeditionary flagship, the Nigellian Hope. Now racing across space, the group brought their vessal into the conflict zone, through the races vying for control over the Geddon gate, and into the gate itself

The Nigellian Hope landed in the ruins of Geddon Core, the old center of the city which was left aside all those millions of years ago, the sole beacon of light in a world of forgotten darkness. The only ship to make it through the gate besides themselves was the Spaceball 1, who attempted to claim the territory under the Spaceball Empire

When the Dimensional Warriors confronted them, Dark Helmet attempted to use the Schwartz on Aiko, firing a beam from his ring at her scrotum. Except women don't have scrotum.

Shocked and horrified as the prospect of a being immune to the superior genetalia twisting power of the Schwartz, the Spaceballs decided they were far out of their league and retreated back through the gate, leaving the Dimensional Warrior's with their task at hand.

Face off against Ivantos

In the antechamber of the Tower, the group was confronted by an advanced member of the Elysium System known as Mother Lode, who confronted the party with every single major opponent they had fought over the course of their adventure. Only after vanquishing their past and it could they advance to the roof above where Ivantos waited

Confronted and cornered, Ivantos stood defiantly in front of the party, proud of his achievement, the barren wasteland he had created around them testament to his almighty power. Ivantos flaunted his strength by annihilating sections of the landscape, casting fear into the hearts of the Dimensional Warriors

Never the less, they stood prepared to fight. The final battle

Ivantos raised his hands and tore the roof of the Tower of Geddon free, sending much of the debris rising up from the city with it. The sheer stress of the magic he was using began to damage the dimension itself as pocket rifts and tears began to form in the sky. Ivantos levelled his staff at the party and engaged them in the final confrontation

Ivantos however was far more powerful than any opponent they had fought in the past, quickly crushing the Dimensional Warriors with his awe inspiring magical strength. All hope seemed lost until the universe began to back the Dimensional Warriors, granting them new found strength and power to challenge their opponent

The battle raged on, the dimension growing into vast disrepair with each spell cast, the platform floating through the sky as the forces clashed, all life itself hanging in the balance of this one fight

Then.. suddenly.. it was over, Ivantos collapsed to the ground, unable to take any more. Intent upon bringing his destroyers down with him, he began to destroy not only himself, but the entire Dimension with him, plunging Geddon into the purple void known only as Null Space.

The group quickly made their way back to their ship and lifted off, returning to the gate as the Dimension collapsed around them. The ship rocketted through the collapsing gate at top speed, debris striking the hull, damaging systems. The Nigellian Hope shot free of the gate as it dissipated behind them. The Dimensional Warriors had won the battle.

The day however, was a different story. The Nigellian Hope had suffered great damage and was forced into a crash landing on an unknown planet. With the crew of the ship dead, and no way to repair their ship, they ventured off in search of new adventure and their next quest
