Artisan: Writing
The author has been a standby of cultures across the universe for as long as man has had language. Whether it's telling fictional stories to entertain or teach, or non-fiction to relate facts or historic information, the author has held an important place in all civilizations. Their works can be meager and thoughtless, exciting and alluring, or powerful and thought-provoking, but their success eventually depends solely on the skill of the writer.
Written works can be published like other Artisan skills, and events can be held to promote the worth of the written work and increase its value. Studying other peoples' works can also give an experienced author a look into the psyche of the original author, giving clues to decoding some of the secrets of the process.
