Sector 5: P7C

This ocean-bound grid zone forms the heart of the Pacific Ocean, southwest of Osea and northwest of Brasalium. This region is dominated by private entities and government-owned energy production platforms, including both geothermal, hydro, and petrochemical fuel plants and derricks. These enormous endeavours are protected heavily by private interests and anti-aircraft defenses, and form a bastion for industry in the middle of the sea.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
1-10: Tropical Depression - Strong winds and torrential rainfall make maneuvering very difficult. All defense rolls are reduced by -10 and each round party members must roll Vehicle Operation, DC 80, or be nicked by lightning dealing 1 AP damage to one Hard Point. Fuel costs are increased by 25%.
11-100: Clear Skies; no modifier.

Carrier Strike

High-altitude reconnaissance flights have discovered a gap in the Leasathian air defense screen in this region, providing a lane of opportunity to strike, damage, and possibly destroy its carrier base in this region.

Reputation Points: +8 if LVN-82 nuclear aircraft carrier is destroyed; +2 per support ship destroyed; +1 per fighter wave destroyed.

-------------------------------------------------

Composition

1x Leasathian LVN-32 nuclear aircraft carrier
3x Leasathian LSV-82 destroyers
3x Leasathian LCC-09 light cruisers
Leasathian combat air patrol fighters

Tactical Overview
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy the LVN-82 nuclear aircraft carrier
SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Destroy the LSV-82 destroyers.

Entering this engagement triggers "Scramble" from the LVN-32 nuclear aircraft carrier. Leasathian fighters will enter the engagement at the end of the third round.

At the end of each round, the LSV-82 Destroyers and LCC-09 Light Cruisers will each launch a single surface-to-air missile at an enemy target. The LSV-82 Destroyers roll 1d100+12 and deal 6 AP damage; the LCC-09 Light Cruisers roll 1d100+4 and deal 4 AP damage.

Leasathian fighters will come in "waves," launching more when the current wave is destroyed. There is a three round "gap" between fighter waves.

If the LVN-82 nuclear aircraft carrier is destroyed, the rest of the Leasathian fleet will withdraw, ending the engagement.

For fighter complement, roll 1d4+4 and fill from the top down.
