6.0 System Changes - Combat Skills

Changes have been made to advanced skills as they pertain to combat.

Martial Arts

A series of end-of-combo techniques has been added, and Chi Arts has been expanded into a slew of new advanced skills. Check them out!

Brawl Blitz, a 7-hit combo, has been added at level 45. Due to new glove weapons, the following advanced skills have been removed:

Improved Punch
Tae Kwon Do
Steel Fist
Diamond Fist

The following have also been removed:

Drunken Master
Boxing
Judo
Restrained Attack

Polearms

This is a new list with combo, cleave, and armor-pierce abilities. Check it out!

Bows & Arrows

The following advanced skills have been removed:

Supressing Fire
Quick Shot
Arrow Stream

Quad Arrow is now offered at level 40(1d4 hits), and Arrow Rain at level 50(1d5 hits).
Penalties on Dual and Triple Arrow have been removed.

Crossbows

Called Shot has been replaced with Sweet Shot on all accounts. Armor Piercing skills have been added.

The following advanced skills have been removed:

Supressing Fire
Strafe
Improved Strafe

Shotguns

Advanced skills have been added to this set: a 'knockback' set and a level 50 skill that does both knockback -and- knockdown.

Daggers

Daggers no longer offer an additional combo hit every 12 levels.

These are now divided into 3 categories: Combo skills, Sneak Attack skills, and Improved Critical skills.

Swords

This is a big one. Note: Shortswords no longer offer an additional combo hit every 20 levels.

These are now divided into combos, cleaves, and power strikes. ALL sword-types go off of the same skill. However, for certain sword types you must have a specific level to use that particular skill.

Example:

Name: Dual Strike
Cost: 15 SkP
Skill Level Required: 10
Availability: L10 for shortswords/swords, L15 for longswords/greatswords
Prerequisites: None
Type: Enabler
Effect: Allows a 1d2 hit combo.

You can purchase this skill at level 10 regardless of what type of sword you use. However, if you use longswords or greatswords, you can only use this advanced skill if you have skill level 15.

Aside from the above, there are now several new weapon types, and skills to go with those weapon types:

Whips - Whips, Flails, Meteor Hammers

Axes & Hammers - War Axes, Battle Axes, Sword Hammers, Warhammers
Scythes - Scythes
Chakrams - Chakrams
