Name
Covenant Jackal

Reward:wit
4 xp (1st run)
Hand Shield: Absorbs up to 2000 damage before breaking (or all of one hit). This damage is only absorbed if the difference between their attack and your defense is less than 30, or while bracing. Must recharge for 10 rounds before being able to use again. (2nd run)
Jackal Card: Snipers Accuracy, adds +2 per Blue Magic level to your attack roll on firearms, and boosts the damage of your next shot by 20%. (Extreme Challenge)

Description:Standing at five foot, eight inches tall, the Covenant Jackals are the staples of Covenant support groups. Their superior senses make them amazing scouts and distance fighters, but their relative physical weakness is ultimately their downfall. These creatures resemble avians of sorts, with a beak and an almost vulture-like head. Their body is still, however, bipedal and symmetric. Their physical weakness is compensated for, however, in the form of a tall energy shield they use for cover when under fire.

** SPECIAL **
This battle begins with the Jackal hiding 2 Areas away from the group, meaning they must use two turns to advance to within melee range of the Jackal. Ranged and magical attacks will still affect him from this distance. At the beginning of the simulation, the Jackal IS visible and thus does not have Sneak Attack. However, if it Relocates, it has the chance for it.

The Jackal automatically switches to Carbine when in melee range of the enemy.
