Leveling Skills

Skill levels have now condensed from 50 levels to 10, but skill point cost iterations will remain the same. Here are the costs for each skill level.

Level 1 - 25 SkP
Level 2 - 65 SkP
Level 3 - 130 SkP
Level 4 - 220 SkP
Level 5 - 335 SkP
Level 6 - 475 SkP
Level 7 - 640 SkP
Level 8 - 830 SkP
Level 9 - 1045 SkP
Level 10 - 1285 SkP

Here's some quick math on how many skill points you need to spend to increase a skill level by 1.

0->1: 25 SkP
1->2: 40 SkP
2->3: 65 SkP
3->4: 90 SkP
4->5: 115 SkP
5->6: 140 SkP
6->7: 165 SkP
7->8: 190 SkP
8->9: 215 SkP
9->10: 240 SkP

---IMPORTANT NOTE---

You cannot start above level 5 in any skill without GM approval.

In order to advance past level 6 in any skill, you must make a post detailing your character's training methods IC. Going at length is heavily encouraged. A GM must grant the OK to advance after the post is made. You can also advance past level 6 if you receive the tutelage of someone (PC or NPC) who is beyond level 6. You cannot advance past the teacher'slevel in this manner.

- The party must have recruited a master of that particular skill through a quest or prior action (example: Jack Sparrow is currently unlocked as a Sword Master). Studying through this way may lead to a trait unique to that Master upon Level 10.
OR
- A character must complete a GM approved Great Work. This may, or may not, bestow a unique trait, depending on the skill and the great work undertaken.
