The modern club, batons are simple whomping sticks designed for non lethal damage against an opponent, used as a suppression/defense tactic.

Batons occupy 2 slots of inventory space; however, they do not need to be concealed in public as long as they are not used belligerantly. Batons operates off of Weapons Proficiency: Clubs.
