Weather - In the daytime, the weather is dry and fairly hot. Fire attacks deal +25% damage, and water attacks deal -25% damage.

Giza Plains serves also as a route between locations, described as follows if you seek to go through on foot:

Ozmone Plain<->Rabanastre: 4 events
Ozmone Plain<->Dalmasca Westersand: 1 event
Ozmone Plain<->Dalmasca Estersand: 3 events
Rabanastre<->Dalmasca Westersand: 4 events
Rabanastre<->Dalmasca Estersand: 3 events

1-2: 1d3 Giza Rabbits.
3-4: 4d3 Hyena. Every 3rd Hyena in the party is an Alpha Hyena.
5-6: 1d3+1 Slaven.
7-8: 1d3+1 Urstrix.
9-10: Chickatrice & 1d4+1 Cluckatrice
11-12: Roll luck. On an 801+, encounter 1 Nazarnir & 1d3 Sleipnir. Otherwise, encounter 1d3+1 Sleipnir.
13-14: 1d3 Werewolf
15-16: 1d4 Wildsnake(Party leader must roll perception, DC 60{80}. Enemy party gets a free round of actions if the DC isn't passed.)
17: Nomad Camp(Here, you can purchase restorative/curative items up to the current shop limit. Additionally, you can rent chocobos for the party at a rate of 500 gil per party member, and bypass enemy encounters for the next 3 event rolls (you can opt instead to dismount your chocobo if you get an encounter you want, but your chocobo will then return to the stables). You can also rest with a fresh, hot bowl of stew that restores 40% of your HP/MP. Lastly, you can purchase a Shadestone from a local child for 1,000 gil.)
18-19: Shadestone Charge(You come across a black crystal charged with sunlight. This can charge 1 shadestone by 1d5 * 10%. A fully charged shadestone becomes a sunstone that sells for 5,000 gil, or can grant innate Brightstrike/Bright Ward to equipment in the crafting stage.)
20: Treasure. Roll 1d2.
