Swallows

A somewhat obscure weapon in history, the swallow was originally nothing more than a two-ended oar used by fishermen and boaters, which eventually became bladed after a greater need for self-defense became necessary. The oar and swallow, used both as staff weapons in traditional martial arts schools, are deadly, hard-hitting weapons that could easily rival a group of opponents with its quickness of use and long reach.

The swallow is generally held in both hands and swung around the body, using both bladed ends to one's advantage. Curved- and straight-bladed designs are available, and some more ostentacious models have been known to be simply two swords fused together in the middle.

The swallow benefits from a much higher capability for enchantment and augmentation than other weapons save for staves, and benefits from an increased damage potential over staves.
